Beginners Guide To Classical Music

Where should I start?

Well, with the wealth of musical works that exist from all the historical eras, you might think this is a difficult question to answer. However there are a number of works that appear again and again in people's top 10, 20, 50 (or especially ambitious 100) lists. There are works from all periods and covering a wide range of genres.  I find it quite interesting to listen to music from different eras to hear how music developed over time, so I am going to present some top works from each period.
